Warwick Wolverines
An interesting matchup this weekend sees
Warwick Wolverines travel to Royal Holloway for their second meeting of the
year. Earlier in the season The Bears edged the Wolverines in a thriller
In
the Wolverines favor they have veteran coach Phil Gaydon to make the
adjustments whilst the Bears still await the appointment of a permanent coach, so adjustments from the last game could be the key.
Both teams can boast two players who play
for The Elite Womens Team however, the Wolverines duo of Jessica Critchley (Ankle) and
Louise Lee (Mouth) are both out with injury. No such problem for the Bears as
Chloe Baton and April Heath both come off a very good camp weekend in fine
form.
Add to this the tournament MVP Calyx
Schentrup and the Bears may feel they have the advantage. The Wolverines will
rely on veteran Erin Robinson and rookie sensation Martha Michaud.
The Elite Women Project are endeavoring to
support RHUL with guest coaching sessions from EWP and London Warriors coach
Andre Clarke as well as EWP Head Coach Andrew Gambrill. Gambrill is also
expected to attend for the EWP to scout potential players for his Elite squad.
