BUAFL Predictions Rivalry Special: SWAC

Exeter Demons @ Plymouth Blitz
With Exeter's big win against Cardiff turning the SWAC on its head, Plymouth go into the first game of the annual Devon Bowl series versus Exeter with a mountain to climb.

With each team having won the two-game competition once in previous years, both teams will be looking to take the lead early in the series, and the contrasting styles of Exeter's finnesse Single Wing and Plymouth's inside run game should make for an interesting game with post season hopes on the line.

BUAFL's youngest Head Coach Lydon Ward-Best's Blitz are on a three game win streak, but are going to have to produce more than their shoddy display against Bath Spa if they are going to take down Damon Kirby's Big Green Machine.

Plymouth by less than a score

Bath Spa Bulldogs @ Bath Killer Bees
The Bulldogs have got better this year and showing improvement, however SWAC is a tough place for new teams; the top five or six teams can all beat each other, with the new boys fighting for scraps at the other end of the table.

The only real challenge to the Killer Bees will be their own complacency.  Sitting at .500 with losses to reigning SWAC champions UWE Bullets and Cardiff in the “Mud Bowl”, the Killer Bees could see this rivalry game as a bit of a soft touch.  If they keep their focus however, this one won’t even be close.

BKB by three scores or more
