Elite Squad Announced

The Elite Womens Programme for flag American football have announced their squad for the upcoming Big Bowl VII in Frankfurt. This is the first trip abroad for any female-only squad.

The eleven-strong squad will be captained once again by Louise Lee whilst Tendai Chieza and Chloe Baton take the assistant captain roles.

The tournament is one of the biggest in Europe with the team competing against national teams from Germany, Israel and Austria. Club sides from Holland and Serbia will also be in attendance.

As with any new challenge, you never know what to expect. Coach Gambrill says; “It's such an unknown for us. We will be playing against established national and club sides. We're a well organised team and have some outstanding athletes, so I'm hopeful we can be competitive at the very least.

Almost every member of the EWP is available for selection. This gives coach Gambrill and his coaching staff the selection headaches all coaches dream of.

The team hope to use the tournament as a dress rehearsal as they begin to seek a place on the international stage.
